The Greatest or Not

I apologize to my readers, I have been very busy being that I am out of town for 2 weeks helping open a new store ( my secular job). Today is only my 4th day of being away and by talking to my 11 year old she guilt’s me into thinking I have been gone 2 years. Nuff said I miss my whole family when I am gone.

At this particular opening I am training the servers and when I training no matter whom I am training there is one question I always ask ” What is the difference between a GOOD server/cook and a GREAT server/cook? The answer is that a GREAT server/cook knows when to ask for help and a GOOD one just runs with it and doesn’t want to bother anyone to ask for help, sinks, suffers and delivers poor customer service.

I think that the next question is that what is the difference between a GOOD and GREAT Christian? MMMM Ponder that for a few minutes. Remember in the book of Matthew chapter 18 verse 1 the disciples asked the same question : ”Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?  We all know that the answer was becoming childlike to enter into the kingdom. But none of us no matter how much one does or how little one does aren’t we all the same, a christian is a christian is a christian. We have all accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savour should anything else seperate us from each other are we not going towards the same goal following the same Great commandment.

So just because you may give more money or volunteer more or you wince back at the site of others that do more than you do. Do not judge what other people are doing we are not in the judgement seat that is Jesus’s job not ours. Love one another and  Remember we are all brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ we are on the same mission. Declaring Jesus and spreading the Gospel throughout the world.

Thoughts

I have been reading the book of Daniel (again). I wonder what we as frail as we are missing today. I see the faith of Daniel and his friends. But yet in our pews and congregations peoples faith whane and are sometimes seem that their faith depends on their mood. People bargain with God, “ok God if you show me this I will be better’. I find this frustrating to watch, I mean I am not the perfect person and you can look in my closet and past and see that I used to do that also. But I restate what can we do to show people exactly what King Nebuchadnezzar says in Daniel chapter 3 vs 29 “For there is no other god who is able to deliver like this”  referring to thier deliverance of from the fiery furnace.

I want to tell people that God is a god of promises and is word does not return void. God is waiting for us to ask for our needs and he will deliver them. It may not be the 2008 brand new truck but it is a 2005 truck that fits our budget. search out Gods face and he will reveal his plan for you. he tells us in Jeremiah that he knows the plans for us, to prosper us…..that is a great promise to stand on.

I have been witnessing to a friends teenager that babysits for us and I told her the other day what if I am right—whats the worse thing that happens you live a life for Jesus, blessed and joyful if i am wrong you wont know it because you are 6 ft under the ground:)

I love Jesus I love God and I love being in the ministry

Simple Faith and Plain Truth

This and this only has been my appointed work: getting this news to those who have never heard of God, and explaining how it works by simple faith and plain truth

I came across this scripture when I was writing a word of encouragement in a bible I was giving away. I remembered the girl that I was talking to the day before( see the unworthy post) and the story she shared with me of the people talking to her for an hour and then saying she was saved.

You know we should be able to tell someone about the gospel in just a few minutes. I mean of course you want to learn something about them and their situation. When I came across this scripture in the MESSAGE BIBLE..I went wow by simple faith and plain truth…mmmmm Could God have laid it out for us to say SIMPLE FAITH and PLAIN TRUTH is how to do it.

Why when people go to present the gospel they make it so long and drawn out. If we take for ever to present the gospel to someone they might and could lose int rest. So when presenting the gospel do what Timothy said tell them about SIMPLE FAITH and PLAIN TRUTH.

Found out to day I do need surgery so pray for me and the slicer guy…I mean surgeon…lol
